He really knows how to interest his student. My son has started to enjoy English literature now! Michael was a real treasure to find on WyzAnt.

Mike taught me a lot through his patient and professional teaching. He helped me sift through my most valuable experience to write about, adjust the structure, and polish every sentence to make my personal statement appealing. He also taught me - an English second-language speaker - how to phrase each sentence easier for Americans to understand. Last but not least, he is really efficient - he always replies fast.

It was a nice surprise to see and hear the energy coming from my son's tutoring session. The work Michael does with Ike is rigorous and academic but not silent and serious like school work can be. Michael moves around the room and pumps up the mental energy level. Last time Michael left my son went bounding back to his desk to hit the books again with an enthusiasm I've never seen before. The emotional intensity might not suit every kid but for my guy, a run-o-the-mill 9 year old, it's awesome.

Michael is a practical, experienced and results-oriented tutor. He has very effective, engaging interpersonal skills. He is a top-talented tutor who blends his wide experience in teaching English language with fun, innovation, and determination to provide unparalleled world-class quality tutoring. I'm totally amazed with the number of skills that I master every week. Michael regularly checks for understanding to insure my comprehension. He is the tutor who propels my learning journey faster than I thought I would. With his help, my learning is soaring like a rocket, my English skills are sharpened, and my confidence has grown.

When I received a letter from school informing me that my son would be retained in the 1st grade due to his problems with writing and reading, I started looking for a tutor right away. I know how hard it is to make my six-year-old do the work and keep him interested at the same time, but Michael was able to do it from the very start. I really appreciate his patience and a friendly approach to kids. Michael has been working with my son on spelling, reading and writing. My son's teacher said that she's pleased to see the improvement in these areas. I am amazed with the selection of books that Michael used for reading practice. We keep discussing them at home and try to guess what they are going to read about at the next session. As one of the reviewers mentioned, Michael has great energy, each session is like a performance. I see that my son has overcome his fear of reading, become more organized and started to express his thoughts in writing. We definitely plan to keep working with Michael until the end of the school year.
